Artemis is not my birth name. I started using it when I read Rick Riordan’s novel about Greek gods and goddesses. The interest continued until I finally found a kind of ‘pseudonym’ that suited me. Since then, several of my social media acc have started using the name Artemis.
Artemis, in Greek religion, is the goddess of wild animals, the hunt, and vegetation, and of chastity and childbirth; she was identified by the Romans with Diana.
I read a lot about Greek gods and goddesses which ultimately have similarities to Roman gods and goddesses. Maybe Artemis is not the goddess that many people talk about. I’m sure most ordinary people will know Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades because they are the elders of Olympus. Or the goddess Athena the goddess of war, the Goddess of love and beauty Aphrodite, etc. But for me, Artemis has a strong and deep impression, just like Gaea, the Mother of Earth.
